Students who wish to learn more about the inter-institutional agreements signed by their university should obtain this information from the International Bureau of their home university. Higher education institutions inquiring about procedures related to interinstitutional agreements should contact the relevant Erasmus+ National Agency in their country. In cases where digital management of IIAs is not possible for legitimate reasons, editable templates are provided below. It is recommended that higher education institutions sign this interinstitutional agreement as soon as an Erasmus+ grant is awarded and, in any event, before the first mobilities take place. By signing an interinstitutional agreement, participating institutions agree to cooperate in the exchange of students and/or staff within the framework of Erasmus+. The academic year 2021/2022 is a transition year in which all universities will gradually join the paperless Erasmus infrastructure in order to be able to digitally renew IIAs. Until IIAs can be digitally renewed, existing IAAs from the Erasmus+ 2014-2020 programme can remain valid. They mutually commit to the quality requirements of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education in all aspects of the organisation and management of mobility and agree on a series of quantitative and qualitative measures to ensure high-quality and impact mobility. Both or all institutions must hold the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education. .
