ASMS: • promotes the right of all New Zealanders to equal access to quality health services • articulates members` professional concerns and interests vis-à-vis the government • contributes to public debate and debate on the provision of health services in New Zealand • advises and represents members on issues related to their employment contracts • negotiates collective employment contracts • supports employment enhancement and the direction from the left. For overseas professionals who have different qualifications and experience, the entry fee is negotiated with your employer, so there is internal justice within the DHB. Once you`re in the system, the ascent is done every year through salary scales, unless there are serious concerns about performance or behavior. Salaries are paid every two weeks. .
